Thawing A Frozen Pipe
The easiest way to thaw a pipe is to wrap and secure a heavy towel or a
burlap bag around it to concentrate and hold heat against it. Pour the hottest
water you can obtain over the towel. Be careful, because most or the water
will run off the towel on you or the floor. A properly positioned pan or
bucket can save you a scalding mess.
If you have a stretch of water pipe that often freezes, consider wrapping
it with insulation.
