Cleaning Mirrors

To clean mirrors use a clean, dry cloth and one of the following solutions:

1. Mix 1/3 cup of clear ammonia in 1 gallon of warm water. Apply it with a sponge/squeegee or put the solution into a spray container and spray it directly on the mirror. Buff with a lint-free cloth, chamois, or paper toweling, Vinegar may be substituted for ammonia.

2. Put some vinegar into a pan or bowl, and then scrunch up a piece of newspaper, dap it into the vinegar, and rub it on to your mirror. Wipe the mirror several times using the same newspaper until the mirror is nearly dry. Then shine it with a clean dry piece of newspaper or a soft cloth.

3. Mix 2 cups isopropyl1 rubbing alcohol (70% solution) with 2 tablespoons of liquid dishwashing detergent, and 2 cups of water. Stir until thoroughly mixed and then pour into a spray bottle, and spray it directly onto your mirror. Rub your mirror using a lint-free cloth, paper towel, or chamois.
